In May of 1996 a flood took out our creek crossing, swingin' bridge ( a 76 ft span suspension foot bridge ) and flooded the basement. So I brought the computer up stairs and then started working on the unimportant stuff ( food, kids, etc. ).

On January 5, 1997 we completed a new suspension foot bridge. (See? I used to call such a thing a swingin' bridge! I at least learned some new terms. *grin* )

Two months later on March 1, 1997 we had another adventure. We will remember it as the FLOOD of 97.

Since then I've learned a lot about bridge construction, and completed a brand new bridge in January of 1998.
