The Flood of 97 - Rocky Fork Creek

The saga of the Lewis family on Rocky Fork Creek during the FLOOD of 97

The 1997 flood in southern Ohio and northern Kentucky was one of those major floods that happen only once or twice in a hundred years. The next few pages describe (complete with pictures) my family's experiance. We were lucky... Many of our friends and neighbors suffered far worse losses and hardships.

My family and I are grateful to all the family, neighbors, co-workers, friends, strangers, and organizations who showed concern and offered assistance to us and others during that time and since. Even the people worst affected were ready to help others. To all of you who offered help to the people of this area, I say a heart felt THANK YOU!

Once I have completed our story, I may add some other family's sagas.
I am working on these pages as I get a few free moments, so understand that this is very much a work in progress.

This link is to the pictures that will illustrate our story. They will be moved as I get them properly sequenced to the correct pages. Since it contains many pictures, with more being added, it is very slow to load. You are warned! *grin*
